Written outputs

What the review hands over.

Every engagement defines its written output before the review starts. The result is a current record for a specific service, integration, process or technology decision—not a generic recommendations deck.

Inside the handover

One engagement may produce one document or a connected set, according to the agreed scope.

For an existing IT service

Supports

A service review, supplier briefing or decision about where further investigation is needed.

For a system hand-off

Integration dependency map

Contains

Source and destination systems, trigger, data exchanged, transformation, schedule, manual intervention, failure signal and response owner.

Supports

Integration investigation, supplier discussion and assessment of which services may be affected by a proposed change.

For recurring operational work

As-is process view

Contains

Inputs, working steps, decisions, exceptions, duplicate entry, delays and the system or supplier involved at each stage.

Supports

Agreement on the current workflow and preparation of focused improvement questions or software requirements.

For a planned technology change

Change brief and responsibility matrix

Contains

Problem statement, requirements, constraints, dependencies, service and system owners, supplier roles, approvers and unresolved decisions.

Supports

Internal approval, software selection or a supplier brief with an explicit boundary between consultancy and implementation.

Defined before the review

Know which document will be handed over.

The written scope names the selected deliverable, information sources, participants, exclusions and decision it must support. An engagement does not need to produce every document shown above.
